Job Summary:
The IT Technician Intern at POWDR is designed for students passionate about technology and eager to gain hands-on experience in enterprise IT support. In this role, you will assist with day-to-day IT operations, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and provide hands-on support to enterprise teams, including C-suite executives.
Working alongside experienced IT professionals, you’ll contribute to real-world projects, build technical and problem-solving skills, and gain exposure to innovative technology solutions in a fast-paced, adventure-driven environment. (This internship is for Fall/Winter Semester. Beginning end of August/first of September through the end of December)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Enterprise & C-Suite IT Support – Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for enterprise staff, including C-suite executives (CEOs, CFOs, COOs, etc.).
Freshdesk Ticketing System – Support the implementation of the Freshdesk ticketing system.
Device Configuration & Automation – Work with Intune to configure and automate device management processes, supporting mobile and enterprise users.
Onsite IT Support – Travel to Woodward locations and national park concessions to provide hands-on IT support, troubleshoot issues, and assist with hardware deployments as needed.
User Onboarding & Offboarding – Assist in setting up new users, provisioning accounts, and managing access control.
Process Documentation & Knowledge Base Contribution – Help build a knowledge base by documenting troubleshooting steps, FAQs, and best practices.
Shadowing & Training – Learn from senior IT technicians, participate in enterprise technology stand-ups, and contribute ideas for improving processes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with a passion for technology.
Basic Requirements:
Valid driver's license is .
Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50lbs.
Must be comfortable working in an outdoor all season environment.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
