Complete Description:

  • The Application Trainer is responsible for delivering effective end-user training for the Electronic Health Records application to ensure successful adoption, usability, and ongoing proficiency.
  • This role designs, develops, and delivers training programs, documentation, and learning materials while working closely with Health Services, Health IT, and vendor teams.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver instructor-led and virtual training sessions for new and existing applications
  • Develop and maintain training materials, including user guides, quick reference sheets, videos, and e-learning modules
  • Customize training content based on user roles, workflows, and system configurations
  • Conduct training needs assessments and recommend appropriate learning approaches
  • Support application rollouts, upgrades, and system changes through targeted training initiatives
  • Provide hands-on system demonstrations and facilitate interactive learning sessions
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and incorporate feedback for continuous improvement
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on application functionality and workflows
  • Collaborate with Health Services, Health IT, and vendor teams to align training with system capabilities
  • Maintain training schedules, attendance records, and completion metrics

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–5 years of experience in application training, software implementation, or user education
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills for diverse audiences
  • Experience developing training materials using tools such as PowerPoint, LMS platforms, or video authoring software
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, user-friendly manner
