Description of Job Duty:

This position provides technology support to the campus community and is a part of the Tier 1 services of Academic & Client Technologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree (or equivalent university credit hours) from an accredited institution OR 60 university credit hours and three years relevant experience. Demonstrated excellence in communications and interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and attention to details. In-depth technical knowledge of Windows and Mac OS X operating systems, as well as application software (including work processing, spreadsheets, databases, Internet browsers, and email clients).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience providing technical support in a higher education environment. Advanced technical knowledge of Mac OS X and Windows, multimedia equipment, instructional technology tools, and hardware. Experience with enterprise-level remote deployment tools.

Essential Functions:

The Information Technology Associate position provides technology support to faculty, staff, and students, and maintains computers (both hardware and software) and related technologies in the campus environment. This position reports directly to the IT Help Desk Manager of Academic Client Technologies in Information Technology Services. May occasionally work varying schedules in order to provide extended support.

Physical Demands:

Demands are typical of an office environment but also include standing for long periods while advising Service Center agents who are on a call, walking distances in order to communicate and coordinate issues and their resolution across different parts of ITS.

Work Hours:

Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
