Job Summary and Qualifications Position Summary This role is responsible for executing an established strategic vision for managing IT Value Added Resellers (VARs) and channel partners, with a strong focus on supplier consolidation, commercial optimization, and stakeholder alignment. The individual will lead the rationalization of the VAR landscape, define governance on when and how these partners are utilized and drive adoption of preferred partners across the organization. This is a hands-on execution role responsible for operationalizing an established VAR strategy, delivering measurable cost mitigation, improved commercial structures, and increased value from strategic supplier relationships. Communicating effectively and working collaboratively across mediums with diverse audiences/stakeholders and to achieve objectives amid competing priorities. Working knowledge of IT VARs is desirable. Major Responsibilities: Execute on a VAR consolidation strategy, reducing supplier complexity and standardizing engagement models across the enterpriseHelp define and enforce governance on when and why specific VARs are used, ensuring alignment with enterprise sourcing strategiesAnalyze IT spend across VARs to identify cost optimization, consolidation and value creation opportunities Work on commercial and contractual negotiations to standardize pricing, discounts, and terms across VAR partners Manage, optimize and communicate partnership status and results with leadership, internal departments and customers.Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (IT, Finance, Legal, Procurement and business units) to align to sourcing strategiesSupport organizational adoption of VAR strategy by influencing stakeholders to utilize preferred suppliers and adhere to defined processesExercise effective listening and business judgment skills with a demonstrated ability to separate ancillary information from the primary content being communicated, asking appropriate questions to clarify and confirm understanding.Ability to process and understand all information and facts necessary for effective decision-making. Monitor supplier performance and continuously identify opportunities to optimize cost, service, and value delivery Apply strong project management skills for planning and execution of priorities.
