ITD Planning PM PMP

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $60.00hr - $65.00hr

Requirement/Must Have:

• Current Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or VITA PM certification.
• Minimum of 15+ years experience managing large projects.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle models.
• Expert knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall project management principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project Server.
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• Successful completion of a fingerprint-based background check.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and deliver complex IT projects with multiple teams and work streams coordinated to an aggressive delivery schedule.
• Lead the team through the standard project management lifecycle phases: PreSelect, Initiation, Planning, Execution and Control, and Closeout.
• Serve as a hands-on technical project manager with development staff and business groups.
• Coordinate and communicate with management and staff to coordinate work tasks and resourcing.
• Communicate timelines and expectations to technical and business staff.
• Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and contractors in the execution of projects including contract management and procurement coordination.
• Adhere to project management practices and governance requirements.
• Maintain project budget, plans, tasks, schedules, risks, and status reports.
• Ensure the documentation of requirements and use cases and facilitate design workshops.
• Ensure definition of test objectives, designed test plans, and test cases.
• Provide management of project milestones and deliverables for on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Define, measure, and clearly communicate progress with metrics.
• Support system and application training efforts.
