Information System Security Engineering (ISSE) Specialist - ITECH-FMLocation: National Capital Region / Type Work: On-site; telework is not anticipatedPosition SummaryGC2IT is seeking an Information System Security Engineering professional to support cybersecurity and secure system engineering for DIA CI and HUMINT IT modernization activities.The ISSE Specialist will help ensure software designs, prototypes, enterprise applications, data systems, and other technical solutions comply with applicable security and Supply Chain Risk Management requirements. This position is contingent upon contract award.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide Information System Security Engineering support for CI and HUMINT systems. Review software architecture, system designs, and prototypes for cybersecurity considerations. Ensure software designs and prototypes comply with Supply Chain Risk Management requirements. Coordinate with Data Engineers, developers, project managers, and Government cybersecurity personnel. Support secure design, development, testing, integration, and implementation activities. Identify security risks and recommend mitigation measures. Support system security documentation and technical reviews. Support mission-critical and highly visible technical initiatives. Perform assigned functional duties independently. Provide oversight or technical guidance to less-senior personnel when required. Required QualificationsSignificant professional experience in Information System Security Engineering or a closely related cybersecurity discipline. Demonstrated experience supporting secure software or system development. Knowledge of cybersecurity engineering principles and system security requirements. Experience evaluating technical designs, architectures, applications, or prototypes. Ability to collaborate with developers, data engineers, technical leads, and Government cybersecurity stakeholders. Education and ExperienceSenior skill level. More than 10 years of experience. MA/MS degree.
