SECTION 1 (PURPOSE)
1.0 Purpose and Background Information:
The Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Branch of the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is requesting bid responses from qualified contractors to provide, experienced and skilled professionals to support the CDOT staff in the performance of maintenance activities on CDOT's statewide Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) infrastructure and equipment in the field, at the ITS Branch Headquarters office, and at other buildings (including node buildings) statewide.
The referenced ITS infrastructure and equipment supports statewide real time traveler information, weather conditions and traffic incident management. The ITS also supports the day-to-day operations at various Traffic Operations Centers, including but not limited to the CTMC, located at 425C Corporate Circle in Golden (ITS Branch Headquarters office), Colorado 8040 I, a 24-hour/day, 365 day/year operation.
This Invitation for Bid (IFB) is for contractor maintenance of CDOT ITS equipment, including troubleshooting the repair and/or replacement of any device, device component, controller (or other in-cabinet equipment), cabinet, conduit and wiring necessary to restore devices to normal operation.
