IWS - Custodial Student Assistant

Position Information

Required Qualifications:

• You must be a DSU student enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credits during, or for a future, fall/spring and/or summer semester(s).
• Must successfully complete a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Willingness to do physical work and accept orders and assigned tasks.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• This position requires the individual to vacuum, clean, and disinfect horizontal and vertical surfaces. Daily removal of trash from restrooms, offices, and classrooms. Periodic cleaning of the bleachers in the Indoor Arena is also required.

Work Hours/Pay Rate:

• Ideally students will work up 10-14 hours each week, depending on schedule, but no more than 20 hours a week when classes are in session.
• With supervisor approval, if there is a week of no class, an employee may work up to 40 hours that week if funding allows.
• Pay begins at $15.00/hour with a $0.25 increase available each year of return.
