Waste Connections is hiring for an Equipment Operator at our facility in Nashville, TN!
As an Equipment Operator, your primary responsibilities will include:
+ Operating heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
+ Loading, moving, grading, and stockpiling materials as directed by management.
+ Maintaining safe operating conditions while working around employees, customers, and other equipment.
+ Monitoring equipment performance and reporting mechanical issues promptly.
+ Following all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
+ Working outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain.
What We Need From You:
+ Minimum of one year of experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
+ Experience operating loaders, excavators, skid steers, compactors, or similar equipment is a plus.
+ Ability to work safely in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
+ Ability to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
+ Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures and operating instructions.
+ Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
+ Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
