Jacobs Entertainment is currently in search of an "IT Systems Technician-A/V & Surveillance" for the All-New J Resort. The J Resort is a full-service hotel-casino with over 500 rooms and wide variety of Slots and Table Games. Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
AV & Conference Room Support
Configure, maintain, and support conference room AV systems throughout the property
Setup and support projectors, displays, microphones, speakers, presentation systems, and video conferencing equipment
Support Microsoft Teams Rooms and related collaboration technologies
Troubleshoot audio, video, connectivity, and presentation issues for end users and events
Perform preventative maintenance on AV equipment and meeting room technology
Assist with conference room and event setup/breakdown as needed
Coordinate with vendors and internal departments for AV-related projects and support
Maintain documentation for AV systems, room configurations, and equipment inventory
Surveillance & Security Systems Support
Configure and maintain IP-based surveillance camera systems
Add, organize, name, and configure cameras within Avigilon Control Center (ACC)
Validate recording functionality, retention settings, and camera health
Troubleshoot camera connectivity, image quality, and VMS-related issues
Coordinate with Security and IT teams during surveillance deployments and upgrades
Maintain camera naming standards, device organization, and documentation
Assist with basic surveillance hardware installation and replacement activities
IT & Technical Support
Provide basic IT support for end-user hardware and peripheral devices
Assist with workstation deployment, printer configuration, and device troubleshooting
Support basic networking tasks related to AV and surveillance systems
Pull and terminate low-voltage cabling as needed
Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or vendors when appropriate
Maintain accurate documentation of completed work, issues, and system changes
Participate in infrastructure, surveillance, and AV-related projects
Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and operational procedures
Skills, Education and Other Requirements:
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience supporting AV systems, surveillance systems, IT support, or related technologies
Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Rooms or similar video conferencing platforms
Familiarity with IP-based surveillance systems and video management software
Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts
Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to safely use ladders and work in ceilings or equipment spaces
Strong customer service and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Avigilon Control Center (ACC)
Experience with PoE devices and basic switch configuration
Experience with projectors, microphones, DSPs, amplifiers, and presentation systems
Experience in hospitality, casino, or entertainment environments
Experience with low-voltage cabling and cable termination
Familiarity with Cisco networking environments
