    Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Manage and provide guidance to the J Resort and Gold Dust West Reno Security Supervisors
    • Coordinate and supervise the activities of the Supervisors and the security department at the J Resort and Gold Dust West Reno
    • Responsible for Emergency procedures to include, but not limited to all functions of the Fire Command Center (FCC), evacuation procedures and overall safety of the properties
    • Responsible for shift team members, annual reviews, payroll, attendance, timesheets, discipline, internal investigation, hiring and separation of employment as needed
    • Assist the Reno Area Assistant Director of Security with teaching team members new and better ways of doing business with an emphasis on accountability, leadership, and guest service
    • Coordinate with and assist the Reno Area Assistant Director of Security for all emergency response procedures and implement industry standards related to public safety
    • Train, coach, develop and council team members to ensure the highest of hospitality standards are met
    • Knowledge of completing and submitting Standard Operational Procedures (SOP's) in the department
    • Knowledge of scheduling a 24-hour shift rotation of the Security Department that will provide adequate supervisory coverage on shift
    • Clear communication with additional shift managers to insure property shift coverage is scheduled for daily operations and special events
    • Responsible for teaching of appropriate and expected Dispatch duties
    • Review of all completed incident reports and daily shift logs for accuracy, clarity, distribution to appropriate executives and/or other entities as needed
    • Verify that assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner
    • Ability to communicate effectively with outside agencies

    Skills, Education and Other Requirements:

    • 2+ years' Public Safety and/or Security with a Minimum 1-year experience in a management capacity
    • Certification in CPR, AED and Basic First Aid
    • Must be able to work various, non-standardized schedule -- including evenings, weekends, and holidays
    • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Ability to obtain Nevada Gaming registration card
    • Valid Nevada Driver's License
    • Obtain Alcohol Awareness card
    • Identification that establishes identity
    • Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States
