Basic Description:
We seek energetic, organized Janitorial Member to properly clean and sanitize our toilets, urinals, sinks, floors, and other bathroom/public areas. This position is responsible to maintain bathroom, building, and janitorial area cleanliness during the shift. Must assist with trash removal, linen removal, mopping, sweeping, and/or other projects upon request.
Essential Functions:
1. Uses proper measurements of detergent and sanitizers to clean and disinfect.
2. Removes all garbage.
3. Restocks janitor’s closet products at the end of shift.
4. Keeps dish and other storage areas clean and organized.
5. Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed as requested by a Manager at any time.
Qualifications
Knowledge
1. Knowledge of basic sanitary guidelines.
2. Knowledge of janitorial and chemical operations.
Skills/Aptitudes
Understanding of the English language and ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and managers.
Working Conditions
1. This position will spend 100% of the time standing/walking.
2. Must be able to work late nights and weekends/ occasional holidays.
3. Work in crowded places.
4. Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water.
5. Regular exposure to liquids- including but not limited to bodily fluids- and cleaning chemicals.
6. The individual must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly.
7. Must be able to speak and understand basic English phrases.
8. Must be able to hear with 100% accuracy with correction.
9. Must be able to see to 20/20 vision with correction.
