Duties and responsibilities

· Perform general sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping of floors

· Dispose of trash from bins and containers

· High dusting

· Polish furniture and room accessories

· Clean windows, glass surfaces, mirrors, and counters as needed

· Report repairs and replacements needed when encountered

· Manage and maintain with daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning calendars

Qualifications

· Prior restaurant experience (preferred)

· Customer service focused, solution oriented, presentable & optimistic approach

· Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced work environment

· Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers

· Basic math and written communication skills

· Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and restaurant needs

· Food handler's card is required according to our local and or state regulations

Working conditions

Housekeepers/Janitors are on their feet most of the time and typically work 4-5 hours per day. They must be able to work well as a team with all staff. The right person is punctual, thorough but fast, and eager to learn.

Physical requirements

· Ability to stand and walk continually throughout an eight-hour shift

· Ability to attend work as scheduled, working various schedules and shifts throughout normal business hours (some holidays and most weekends are required)

· Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

· Physically able to climb up and down ladders, reach, stretch, bend and walk throughout an eight-hour shift
