Description
Summary of Role
The janitor is responsible for performing custodial duties to ensure that buildings/facilities/venues are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. The Janitor will work closely with the Night Janitorial Lead. Teamwork and a positive attitude with strong work ethics are essential. Must have a smart device and be able to work in the US and be able to pass a background check.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Clean and Care for buildings and facilities to ensure they are maintained according to contractual standards:
Clean Offices/Meeting Rooms/all accessible spaces
Sweep, mop and vacuum floors
Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors and dispensers
Refill all soap dispensers and restock all paper products
Empty all garbage and or recycling as required by the contract
Dust and wipe down surfaces including desks, chairs, counters, fixtures and cubicles
Clean kitchens/sinks/countertops/outside of appliances and or additional cleaning as required by contract
Follow safety protocols when using cleaning supplies and cleaning chemicals
Perform all daily, weekly and monthly duties
Support special projects and quarterly work as assigned
Perform all duties as assigned
Additional Responsibilities:
Secure Storage areas and offices that require to be locked after services are performed
Ensure Cleaning Materials and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner
Maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and supplies
Report on all safety violations, improper usage of company property and environmental concerns
Report all injuries or incidents to the Night janitor Lead immediately
Make a note and or notify the Night Janitor Lead of equipment repairs and or replacement as needed
Notify Night Janitor Lead of any duties that need to be performed outside of your daily scope of work.
Required Qualifications and Skills:

Min 6 months of janitorial experience
Problem-Solving skills
Effective verbal and listening skills, attention to detail
Work with or without direct supervision and team player
Commitment to excellence and high standards
Valid Driver License
Reliable Transportation
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, operate equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be comfortable working at heights and able to safely climb and work from ladders.
Ability to withstand odors emitted by cleaning materials and chemicals while using proper PPE.
The successful candidate must acknowledge the risks associated with hazardous chemicals and be willing to review Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to identify hazards to determine
appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) prior to use.
Cleaner/Janitor Job Requirements:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Must have proven working experience as Cleaner/Janitor
Must be able to respond and act quickly
Must have strong communication and multitasking skills
Must have knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies
