Custodian/Janitor– 1st Shift | Local School District

Because this position works in a school environment, employment is contingent upon successful completion of all school- and employer-required background checks and clearances.

This is a full-time, long-term position with the opportunity to be hired by the school district and receive an excellent benefits package.

Pay and Schedule

• **Pay:

  **Starting at$18.00-$21.00/hr, based on experience

• **Shift:

  ** Monday-Friday, 6:00AM-3:00PM

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas

• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and empty trash

• Maintain building entrances, sidewalks, and exterior grounds

• Shovel snow and remove debris to keep walkways safe

• Report maintenance or safety concerns

• Complete additional custodial duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Valid driver's license required

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred, but not required

• Ability to work independently and follow cleaning schedules

• Comfortable working around students, staff, and the public

• Ability to lift 25-35 pounds and perform frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and standing throughout the shift
