Janitor

Job Summary

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and organized office andshop environments within our millwork and metal fabrication facilities. This role involves regular walking

throughout large shop spaces, cleaning industrial work areas, and occasional minimal driving betweennearby shop locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize office spaces, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain shop floors and walkways

• Empty trash and recycling throughout offices and shop areas

• Clean shop areas including dust removal, wiping surfaces, and maintaining safety pathways

• Restock cleaning supplies, paper products, and other janitorial items

• Safely handle and dispose of waste materials in accordance with company procedures

• Report on maintenance or safety concerns to management

• Perform light outdoor cleaning as needed (entryways, walkways)

• Occasionally drive between shop locations to perform cleaning duties

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods throughout the workday

• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and lifting

• Ability to lift and carry items up to 30-50 lbs.

• Comfortable working in a shop environment with dust, noise, and industrial equipment

• Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment

Qualifications

• Ability to follow safety procedures and cleaning protocols

• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently

This position is in both office and industrial shop settings, including millwork and metal fabrication

areas. Proper PPE may be required when working in shop areas.
