Position Purpose
The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout office areas and the manufacturing plant. This position supports daily operations by ensuring workspaces, restrooms, common areas, and production floors are properly cleaned and maintained in accordance with company safety and cleanliness standards.
Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain office spaces, conference rooms, breakrooms, restrooms, and manufacturing areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors and surfaces throughout the facility
- Empty trash and dispose of properly
- Clean windows, doors, partitions, and other interior surfaces
- Restock restroom and breakroom supplies including soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
- Maintain cleanliness of production floors, walkways, and workstations
- Safely operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and vacuums
- Follow all company safety policies and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals
- Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns to management
- Support special cleaning projects and facility setup as needed
- Assist with seasonal facility needs when required
- Maintain organized janitorial storage areas and inventory of cleaning supplies
Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to follow safety procedures and written instructions
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
