Summary

The Custodian/Maintenance Associate will be responsible for the cleanliness, upkeep and general maintenance of one or more facilities in Las Vegas, Nevada. Activities include general janitorial, simple repairs and maintenance, and handyman work of company equipment and facilities as well as other projects as assigned. Based on workload, the employee may complete warehouse operation tasks as well.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for general janitorial duties throughout the facility (for example, floors, windows, restrooms, trash receptacles, offices break room, etc.) while following Company procedures, guidelines, and methods, and utilizing approved chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Responsible for ensuring that the outside of the building is clean and maintained to ensure that a positive perception of the company is maintained.
• Ensures a safe and clean environment for employees and visitors by performing maintenance as necessary, responding to spills, and disposing of cardboard, plastic, and trash in accordance with company procedures.
• Performs basic handyman projects like hanging signs, maintaining equipment, repairing walls and/or doors, or other odd maintenance jobs.
• Ensures the care, safety, and effective operation of the facility and reports any discrepancies to supervisor. Recognizes, avoids, and reports, and resolves conditions that could create accidents and injuries.
• Other duties or activities as requested by management.
• May be required to travel to other Speed Commerce locations to assist with janitorial, maintenance and/or installation projects as required.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• Minimum of 2 years of demonstrable experience in janitorial, maintenance and handyman work.
• Reliable transportation
