Janitor / Material Handler / Receiving Clerk (1st Shift)

Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay: $16–$20/hour (Based on Experience)
Location: Cudahy, WI

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented individual to support operations as a Janitor, Material Handler, and Receiving Clerk. This role is responsible for receiving and organizing incoming materials, supporting production teams, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the facility remains clean, safe, and organized. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can balance multiple responsibilities effectively. 

Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Inventory
  • Receive all incoming materials, supplies, equipment, and returned goods.
  • Verify shipments against purchase orders and receiving documentation.
  • Inspect materials for accuracy (quantity, size, part numbers, and condition).
  • Label and organize incoming parts for proper identification and storage.
  • Maintain receiving records and prepare reports.
  • Report defective or non-conforming materials to supervisors.
Material Handling
  • Move materials throughout the facility to support production and storage needs.
  • Deliver parts and kits to the assembly/production team as required.
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes using proper rigging techniques.
  • Handle raw steel, processed kits, and other materials with care.
  • Ensure forklifts are properly parked indoors and facility doors are secured at the end of each shift.
Production Support
  • Pull and stage kits for production staff.
  • Assist with part organization and inventory management.
  • Perform inspections to ensure materials meet production specifications and quality standards.
  • Support special projects and assist in other operational areas as needed.
Janitorial & Facility Maintenance
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the facility (shop floor, offices, and outdoor areas).
  • Empty garbage bins and chip containers regularly.
  • Sweep and clean shop floors, aisles, and work areas.
  • Clean and restock restrooms, locker rooms, lunchrooms, and common areas.
  • Maintain parking lot and exterior areas, including debris removal and organization of materials.
  • Perform routine cleaning of equipment, surfaces, and shared spaces.
  • Complete weekly deep-cleaning tasks (stairs, railings, lockers, etc.).
  • Perform seasonal duties such as snow shoveling and salting.
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of forklift experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, blueprints, technical drawings, and procedural manuals.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workplace.
