Work Location & Shifts: 1120 Industrial Ave, North Platte, NE

2nd Shift 5:00pm-3:30am Monday -Thursday

Pay: The hourly pay rate range for this position is 22.00 + shift differential and benefits.  Base pay will vary within the range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.   This information is specific to North Platte and may not be applicable to other locations.

What your day in this role might involve at OC-North Platte:

• Service, clean and/or supply restrooms.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Clean appliances located in break rooms, including microwaves and refrigerators.
• Help clean up after employee meals and events.
• Help maintain cleanliness of parking lot areas by picking up small trash and debris.
• Sweep outdoor smoking section on a regular basis.
• Monitor building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after operating hours or checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Other duties, as assigned.

What makes a successful OC North Platte team member:

Must haves include…

• High School Diploma or GED and be at least 18 Years Old
• Experience with:
• Work safely and follow all plant rules
• Show initiative, be a self-starter
• Communicate, in English, in a clear and effective manner
• Ability to multi-task
• Work independently, as well as part of a team, and have shift flexibility

Would be terrific if you also had…

• Preferably one year experience in janitorial
• Experience with
• Think under pressure, make quick and strategic decisions
• Work independently, as well as part of a team, and have shift flexibility
• Show initiative, be a self-starter, and be able to train and coach others
• Communicate, in English, in a clear and effective manner

There are some essential physical requirements specific to our work environment, including being able to:

• Stand for 10 - 12 hours straight
• Climb and descend stairs/ladder as needed for the role
• Do repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; squatting; lift, push and pull 50-pounds)
• Withstand exposure to temperature extremes; sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable
