Janitor

Pay Range: $13.75hr - $14.73hr

Job Overview:

The Janitor role is crucial to maintaining the hygiene and cleanliness of the facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties that keep the organization's premises in a clean and orderly condition. Attention to detail and a positive attitude are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Regularly cleaning and sanitizing offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and public areas.
• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in all areas of the facility.
• Emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste in a sanitary manner.
• Performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to replacing light bulbs and unclogging toilets.
• Ensuring that all cleaning supplies are stored safely and are used in the correct amounts.
• Monitoring inventory of cleaning supplies and ordering more as needed.
• Reporting any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications.
• Assisting with setup and teardown for events or meetings.
• Ensuring exterior areas such as walkways and parking lots are kept clean and free of debris.
• Complying with all health and safety regulations and practices on site.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: High School Diploma.
• Previous janitorial or cleaning service experience.
• Ability to handle equipment and machinery used in cleaning.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.
• Excellent time management skills, ability to multitask, and maintain schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to providing high-quality work.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

• Ability to reach, kneel, and bend.
• Ability to maintain physical stamina and mobility.
