SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Janitors for for a large printing client in St. Charles, IL. The Janitor is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, cafeterias, and reception, along with high-traffic areas.
SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($17.65/hr.) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).
Available Shifts: 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
Responsibilities of the Janitor:
- Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas, of the building.
- Performs minor repairs and maintenance such as replacing light fixtures or unclogging pipes.
- Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms - toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors and partition walls
- Wipe tables, chairs and arm rests
- Mop and vacuum floors with blower to dry surfaces
- Replace hand soap, hand sanitizer, toilet seat covers, toilet paper, hand towels, sanitary napkin bags, trash bins and can liners.
- Remove all items and dispose from all refrigerators, Wipe down inside of all refrigerators.
- Refill all brown paper towel dispenses, trifold napkins as needed.
- Switch out all recycling containers with new totes or gaylord
- Maintains a neat and orderly janitors’ room; ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked.
- Assists in examining premises for safety hazards; reports deficiencies to maintenance department.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications of the Janitor:
- Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
- Detail-oriented and thorough.
- Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.
- Ability to keep the premises clean and orderly in a timely manor.
- Comfortable with prolonged periods standing and walking
- Able to lift, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
