Janitor

We are looking for a dependable, experienced Janitor/Custodian to join our team at a manufacturing facility in Carlsbad, CA.

The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment and is comfortable working independently in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain production areas, offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and operate floor-cleaning equipment
• Empty trash and recycling and maintain waste areas
• Clean and maintain floors and other high-traffic areas
• Perform routine cleaning around manufacturing equipment and work areas
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and employee areas
• Replenish cleaning and restroom supplies
• Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Report maintenance issues, spills, safety hazards, or other concerns
• Maintain a clean and safe facility in accordance with company standards
• Perform other general cleaning and facility-support duties as needed

Qualifications

• 2+ years of janitorial/custodial experience preferred
• Manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, or commercial cleaning experience is a strong plus
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
• Able to safely lift and move cleaning supplies and equipment
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and performing physical cleaning tasks throughout the shift
• Ability to follow safety procedures and properly handle cleaning chemicals
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude
