In partnership with Friends of Waterfront Park, Seattle Center provides operations, maintenance, and public safety services for Waterfront Park, while Friends leads park experience, programming, and stewardship along Seattle's downtown waterfront.
Position Description
We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Janitors to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming indoor event spaces at the Seattle Center (e.g., Armory, Fisher Pavilion, and McCaw Hall). Duties include pre- and post-event sanitation, high-traffic restroom maintenance, floor care, and crowd-facing customer assistance.
We are recruiting for first and second shifts. This recruitment will also be used to hire Janitors for our on-call pool.

The full pay range for this step-progression position is $28.14 - $30.30 per hour. New employees begin at Step 1 of the pay progression, which is $28.14 hourly. Current City employees' starting rate of pay will be based on Personnel Rules regarding promotions.
On-call positions: On-Call (Intermittent) employees begin at step 1, which is $28.14 hourly. Intermittent employees do not get salary step increases. Youll also get premium pay that increases the more hours you work. (Starts at an additional 5% on top of your base rate, up to 25%)

Individuals selected to fill this position may be eligible to receive Language Premium Pay (SMC 4.20.360), which provides a $200.00 monthly stipend to qualified bilingual employees who are properly evaluated and assigned to provide direct communication in-language, interpretation, or translation services to the public on behalf of the City of Seattle.
