Job Title: Janitor
No. of Positions / Candidates Required: 8 Environmental Service Technicians (3 on day shift, 5 on evening shift).

Exact Location: 4815 N. Assembly St., Spokane, WA 99205
Duration: 1 year contract with the possibility of another year
Shift Schedule: Weekend only (Saturday and Sunday)
- Day shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (3 technicians)
- Evening shift: 3:30 PM to Midnight (5 technicians)
How Many Shifts Needed per Month: Approximately 8 9 shifts per technician per month.
Credentialing / Onboarding Time: 6-8 weeks
Special Skills needed:
- Use of hospital-grade disinfectants and germicidal solutions
- The microfiber cleaning system
- Machine scrubbing of floors, including I-Mop scrubbers
- Wet floor signage and Life Safety compliance
- Spill response per MGVAMC procedures
- Work subject to ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) surface inspections
Responsibilities:
- Restrooms: Clean, disinfect, and restock restrooms 3 times per day on Saturday and Sunday. Two services fall in core hours and one after 5:00 PM. Initial the cleaning log. Machine scrub restroom floors weekly on the second shift.
- Trash: Empty, sanitize, and reline all trash containers 4 times per day. Three services fall in core hours and one after hours. Remove trash to the nearest outside collection container.
- Floors and common areas: Sweep and mop floors in common areas, hallways, and corridors daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Clean elevators and stairway landings after 5:00 PM. In offices, high/low dust, maintain floors, and remove trash. Do not clean desks or personal items.
- Exam rooms and safety: Perform environmental and terminal cleaning of vacant exam rooms released by the Government. Post wet floor signs and report spills and hazards. Meet response times: 2 hours routine, 1 hour priority, 30 minutes urgent.
