Janitor

Position Title: 1st Shift Janitor
Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking 1st Shift Janitor to join our team. The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized facility by performing routine cleaning and sanitation duties. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and can work independently while following established cleaning procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.
• Clean windows, mirrors, doors, and other surfaces as needed.
• Restock restroom and cleaning supplies.
• Maintain floors through mopping, buffing, and spot cleaning.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to management.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform additional cleaning duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
