Janitorial Assistant Supervisor- Chambersburg

$18.00/hour (Bi-Weekly Pay)

Monday–Thursday | 5:00 PM – 1:30 AM
(30-minute lunch break)

Job Summary

LJ’s Cleaning Solutions is seeking a dependable and experienced Janitorial Assistant Supervisor to help oversee daily cleaning operations and support the janitorial team. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires strong communication, organization, and teamwork.

A current resume is required for consideration. This position must be the candidate’s primary and only job, as Assistant Supervisors are required to be on-call.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervising daily janitorial operations and staff

• Train and support new employees

• Monitor employee timekeeping, attendance, and performance

• Inspect completed work to ensure LJ’s Cleaning Solutions standards are met

• Communicate professionally with employees, clients, and management

• Use Outlook, Word, OneDrive, and other office applications

• Operate computers, tablets, phones, printers, scanners, and radios

• Assist with assigned janitorial and cleaning duties

• Perform disinfecting/misting using a backpack mister and required PPE when needed (training provided)

• Provide coverage and additional support when the Site Supervisor is absent

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old

• 1 year of management experience preferred

• 2 years of janitorial experience preferred

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Reliable transportation

• Ability to pass a criminal background check

• Strong leadership and professional communication skills

• Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and electronic devices

• Knowledge of OSHA and custodial safety procedures preferred

• Bilingual preferred, but not required

• Must be flexible and available for on-call responsibilities

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull

• Frequently lift up to 35 lbs and occasionally up to 40 lbs

• Ability to safely work with cleaning chemicals and required PPE
