Description

The Day Porter / Event Support is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment throughout the facility while providing support for event setup, breakdown, and facility operations. This position requires excellent customer service, flexibility, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: $22.50

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Schedule: Monday through Friday with occasional weekends. Shift rotates monthly between 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM and 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM based on operational and event needs. Flexibility is required.

  • Previous janitorial, porter, facilities, or event setup experience required.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to follow directions and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Dependable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing business and event schedules.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks throughout an entire shift.

General Janitorial Responsibilities

  • Empty trash receptacles throughout the facility.
  • Inspect, clean, and stock conference rooms as needed.
  • Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen and breakroom areas, including operating dishwashers and replenishing supplies.
  • Respond promptly to facility manager and customer requests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of common areas.

Event Support Responsibilities

  • Set up and break down furniture and equipment for meetings, training sessions, conferences, and special events.
  • Arrange furniture and event equipment in conference rooms, training rooms, cafés, common areas, and outdoor amenity spaces.
  • Respond to work order requests related to event and facility needs.
  • Inspect equipment for damage following use and verify inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain event storage areas in a clean, organized, labeled, and safe condition.
  • Ensure all event inventory is returned to designated storage locations after each event.
  • Communicate supply needs and equipment replacement requirements to management.
