Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable and hardworking Janitor to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing facility in Joplin. This position is responsible for cleaning office areas, common spaces, restrooms, break rooms, and production areas while supporting a safe and sanitary workplace for all employees.
The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a clean environment, works well independently, and is committed to providing a professional appearance throughout the facility.

Required Experience & Skills
Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or facilities maintenance experience preferred
Ability to work independently and manage daily cleaning responsibilities
Ability to safely use ladders and cleaning equipment
Basic handyman or maintenance experience is a plus
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesCleaning & Sanitation
Sweep, mop, and maintain facility floors
Clean and sanitize dining areas, break rooms, and kitchen floors
Maintain hallways, entryways, offices, and production floor areas
Clean and sanitize restrooms, sinks, and restroom fixtures
Sanitizing Duties
Wipe and disinfect tables, countertops, sinks, and shared workspaces
Sanitize high-touch surfaces including door handles, light switches, and shared equipment
Ensure all facility areas meet company cleanliness and sanitation standards
Supply Management
Refill soap dispensers throughout the facility
Restock paper towels, toilet paper, and other restroom supplies
Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify management when replenishment is needed
General Facility Maintenance
Empty trash receptacles throughout the facility
Dust offices, common areas, furniture, and equipment
Wash windows and glass surfaces
Pick up litter and maintain the exterior grounds around the building
Organize storage rooms and supply areas
Perform basic handyman and facility maintenance tasks as needed
Safely use ladders to complete cleaning and maintenance responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience maintaining industrial or manufacturing facilities
Basic maintenance and repair knowledge
Experience operating commercial cleaning equipment
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing, and repetitive physical activity throughout the workday
Ability to safely use ladders and cleaning equipment
Comfortable performing physically demanding cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the shift
