Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable Temporary Custodian / Janitorial Associate to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing facility in Oklahoma City through August 25. This position is responsible for cleaning offices, production areas, restrooms, breakrooms, and outdoor spaces while assisting with general facility upkeep and seasonal grounds maintenance.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and takes pride in creating a clean and safe environment for employees and visitors.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or facility maintenance experience preferred
Manufacturing or industrial cleaning experience is a plus
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and janitorial tools
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Clean offices, production areas, breakrooms, hallways, and common areas by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and scrubbing
Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms and handwashing stations
Empty trash and dispose of waste in designated collection areas
Clean windows, doors, walls, and other facility surfaces as needed
Organize and maintain janitorial storage areas, supplies, and equipment
Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify management when replenishment is needed
Perform seasonal grounds maintenance, including mowing, weed trimming, hedge trimming, blowing debris, and weed control
Assist with facility clean-up projects and other assigned duties
Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE
Report maintenance concerns, equipment issues, or safety hazards promptly
Preferred Qualifications
Experience cleaning industrial or manufacturing facilities
Grounds maintenance or landscaping experience
Knowledge of safe chemical handling procedures
Strong time management and communication skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 lbs
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling, reaching, and climbing ladders throughout the shift
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to safely work around manufacturing equipment while following all safety guidelines
Work Environment
Industrial manufacturing facility with both indoor and outdoor work areas
Exposure to cleaning chemicals, industrial equipment, and varying weather conditions
Physically active role requiring frequent movement throughout the day
Safety-focused workplace requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
