Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning of offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and shine
- Handle janitorial duties including trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Maintain industrial cleaning tasks in large facilities or warehouses, including equipment cleaning and debris removal
- Assist with custodial responsibilities related to facilities maintenance, ensuring all areas are safe and functional for daytime operations
- Support porter activities by moving furniture or equipment as needed and reporting maintenance issues promptly
- Follow safety protocols and use proper cleaning chemicals to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with a focus on commercial or industrial environments
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery including buffers and floor scrubbers effectively
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks during shift hours
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently during night shifts
- Nice-to-have skills include residential painting experience or additional facilities maintenance knowledge
