Type: Temp-to-Hire | Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1:45 PM - 10:15 PM
We are seeking a Janitorial Supervisor to lead and coordinate a team of cleaningstaff in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of commercial and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning and maintenance activities
- Interview, hire, and train staff
- Plan, assign, and direct work schedules
- Inspect work to ensure it meets company standards
- Investigate and resolve complaints about services or equipment
- Inspect facilities to determine maintenance and cleaning needs
- Coordinate with other departments for efficient service delivery
- Ensure cleaning equipment is in proper working order
- Instruct staff on work policies, procedures, and equipment use
- Perform cleaning duties as needed
- Select suitable cleaning materials for various surfaces and fabrics
Work Environment- Exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving machinery, high places, fumes, chemicals, and varying outdoor weather
- Potential for extreme cold/heat and loud noise levels
Physical Requirements- Regular standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
Qualifications- Associate's degree (or equivalent) preferred
- 6 months to 1 year of related supervisory experience, or a combination of education and experience
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
