Janitorial Supervisor

PAY RATE - $ 19.65
JOB SUMMARY:
• The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible establishing a regular service schedule for completing all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual tasks, which is agreeable to both the Contractor and the Contract Manager. This schedule shall be submitted at the kick-off meeting. Be responsible and accountable for all activities and behavior of all personnel assigned. Perform cleaning tasks with the janitorial team during the working hours assigned. Maintain records of janitorial services performed and prepare reports for management upon request.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily Day Tasks:
•
Work alongside the team, perform cleaning tasks and demonstrate proper techniques to maintain high standards of cleanliness.

Training staff in proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and the use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
•
Be present at any time the janitor(s) are performing work outside of the designated work hours
•
Be responsible for presenting documentation to the Contract Manager when the quarterly and semi-annual tasks are performed.
•
Assigning tasks and duties to janitorial team members
• Inspecting work performed to ensure conformance to specifications and established standards
• Maintaining an inventory of janitorial supplies and equipment supplied by the Contractor
• Addressing any complaints or issues in a timely and effective manner
• Conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback to janitorial staff
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Meeting with the Contract Manager once per month to ensure ongoing communication, coordination, and alignment between the janitorial services being provided and the contract requirements.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred
•
Minimum 3 years' continuous experience of janitorial or custodial service; of these years 2 years must have been in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
CERTICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Ability to pass background check / fingerprinted and drug screen.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lifting to 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 10 pounds. May be required to regularly stand for extended periods of time, walk, reach with hands/arms with full range of motion, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, push or Regularly required to talk and hear. Frequently required to use hands and fingers to hold, handle and feel objects, knobs, keys and/or buttons.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
General Public environment. The noise level is usually medium.
