Job Title
To lead, oversee, and review the daily work of staff responsible for providing cleaning services for assigned buildings/facilities to ensure clean, orderly and attractive conditions; and to perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensure that new employees are properly oriented and are aware of performance requirements.
- Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise and review the daily work of staff.
- Establish schedules, work goals and methods for providing cleaning services; identify resource needs; review needs with appropriate management staff; allocate resources accordingly – utilizing staff input.
- Maintain a motivational and supportive working environment for staff.
- Implement and support customer service goals.
- Utilization of Q.A. Program to quantify personnel performance.
- Utilization of Blue Chips' training and safety information to ensure employee safety and compliance through continued training.
- Communication with management to coordinate tasks and solicit feedback on specific needs related to area of responsibility.
- Develop and maintain a sense of urgency and follow-through related to correcting customer service issues.
- Follow-through on all requests for all routine and non-routine tasks.
- Specifically responsible for proper use of products and equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed by Account Manager or Operations Manager (this could include, but is not limited to, floor care – stripping and waxing floors, extraction and bonneting of carpets, auto scrub and buffing of floors).
Qualifications
Knowledge of :
- Operations, services and activities of a commercial cleaning program.
- Safe work practices
- Methods, procedures, materials and equipment used in commercial cleaning.
- The use of toxic and non-toxic chemicals (per MSDS sheets).
Ability to:
- Supervise, organize and review the work of lower level staff.
- Operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment.
- Make minor repairs to commercial cleaning equipment.
- Distinguish hazardous chemicals.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work including clients/customers and the general public.
Apply skills and knowledge necessary to:
- Make sound decisions
- Effectively interact and communication with others
Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include the following:
