Summary
A global food manufacturer is seeking a highly detail-oriented Quality
Assurance Specialist to join their team in Torrance, CA. This role bridges the
gap between our U.S. operations and our international production facilities.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all quality standards, technical
documentation, and regulatory processes are maintained with precision. The
ideal candidate will combine a background in Quality Assurance (preferably
within the food industry) with strong Japanese/English bilingual capabilities
to facilitate seamless communication with our global partners.
Essential
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversight: Partner with the QA/QC Assistant Manager to uphold
strict product integrity and international compliance standards.
Communication: Serve as the primary bridge for technical
communications between U.S. operations and Japanese HQ, ensuring absolute
accuracy in reporting.
Management: Oversee critical quality documentation, including
Certificates of Analysis (COA), product specifications, facility audit
reports, and corrective action documentation.
Translation: Provide professional-grade Japanese/English
translation for quality manuals, technical specifications, and regulatory
compliance reports.
Excellence: Maintain organized records, assist with label
registration, coordinate with third-party laboratories, and manage
retention sample collection and verification.
Improvement: Proactively identify administrative bottlenecks and
contribute to the refinement of QA/QC workflows.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree.
Professional-level fluency in both Japanese and English (written and
verbal) is mandatory for technical translation and HQ interaction.
experience in a Quality Assurance or technical production support role.
administrative acumen, meticulous attention to detail, and a high level of
professional business etiquette.
Preferred:
in the food industry or a regulated manufacturing environment.
history of handling technical documentation and audit support.
in a role requiring complex technical translation.
