Job Title: Japanese Bilingual Assistant Store Manager Location: Edgewater, NJ Hours: 10:00am - 7:00pm (5d/w Shift schedule) Classification: Exempt, direct-hire, full-time

An established and internationally recognized retail company is seeking a Japanese Bilingual Assistant Store Manager for its Edgewater, NJ location.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced retail leader who has a proven track record of supervising and developing team members, driving store performance, and delivering an outstanding customer experience. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, this position plays a key leadership role in overseeing daily store operations, guiding staff performance, managing workflow, and ensuring operational excellence across all functions. The ideal candidate brings hands-on people management experience, including coaching, training, performance oversight, and fostering a positive, accountable team culture. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Open and close the store while maintaining a safe environment for both customers and staff. Manage store staff: assign duties, create schedules, and provide training and support. Monitor and manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and coordinate internally to ensure product availability. Foster a positive and engaging store culture aligned with the company's core values. Ensure a seamless and consistently excellent customer service experience. Plan and implement promotional campaigns and in-store displays. Prepare and analyze sales reports; participate in management meetings. Address and resolve customer issues, including complaints and return requests. Assist with HR-related tasks such as vacation tracking and payroll support. Perform other duties as assigned by the Regional Executive. Qualifications: Must be able to speak, read, and write Japanese at a fluent/business level. Minimum of 3 years of Retail Store Management/Lead experience required. Basic - Intermediate MS Office skills required.
