Japanese Bilingual is MUST!A major Japanese logistics company located in Torrance, CA is seeking a Warehouse General Manager.
Job Overview
This is a General Manager position responsible for overseeing the entire warehouse division, including Warehouse Operations and Customer Service. In addition to managing daily warehouse operations and staff, this role is responsible for overall warehouse business management, including customer relations, budget and revenue management, negotiations with external logistics companies, and operational improvements.
Job Responsibilities
Manage the entire Warehouse Operations and Customer Service departments
Manage daily warehouse operations, including inbound/outbound shipments, inventory, work schedules, and staffing
Recruit, train, evaluate, and manage Warehouse Staff
Develop and improve SOPs and operational workflows
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and operational issues
Manage sales, Gross Profit, costs, and P&L for each customer
Prepare quotations and negotiate with external vendors, including Warehouse, Trucking, and Shipping companies
Analyze and report Warehouse Performance
Manage warehouse operations using WMS
Manage E-commerce / EDI-related operations
Manage warehouse equipment and safety and sanitation standards
Qualifications
Business-level Japanese and English required
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Approximately 10+ years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or a related field
Experience managing Warehouse Operations / Logistics Operations
Experience in People Management, such as Supervisor / Manager roles
Experience in Customer Service / Client Management
Experience in Budget / P&L / Cost Management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong Leadership / Communication / Problem-solving skills
Valid Driver’s License
Spanish language skills are a plus
