Position

Java Application Developer

Location: Dallas, TX / New Jersey (Hybrid)

About the Team

Our Engineering team is responsible for building highly scalable, cloud-native enterprise applications that power mission-critical business solutions for Fortune 500 clients.

As a Senior Java Application Developer, you will play a key role in designing and developing distributed systems while collaborating with Product Managers, Architects, QA, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions.

You will contribute to architectural decisions, mentor junior engineers, and help drive engineering best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality Java-based enterprise applications.
• Build scalable, cloud-native distributed systems using modern software engineering principles.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to define technical roadmaps and implementation strategies.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
• Champion engineering excellence through code reviews, coding standards, automated testing, and best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership.
• Collaborate closely with QA, DevOps, and Documentation teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Build reliable, secure, and highly available enterprise applications.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across global locations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Strong knowledge of:

• Experience building scalable cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience working with managed cloud databases.
• Proven experience leading development initiatives from design through production deployment.
• Ability to mentor engineers and lead technical discussions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra.
• Experience with messaging platforms such as Amazon SQS or Apache Kafka.
• Knowledge of cloud security principles and secure application development.
• Experience with Big Data technologies.
• Experience building SaaS platforms and customer-facing enterprise products.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
