Job Title: Java AWS Solution Architect
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Duration: 6+months (extendable)
Pay Range: $45-50/Hour

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, cloud-native enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in solution architecture, AWS cloud services, Java/Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and modern software design principles.

This role will work closely with business stakeholders, product managers, engineering teams, and technical leadership to define technology solutions, create architectural designs, and guide development teams through successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end enterprise solutions aligned with business and technology objectives.

• Create solution architecture documents, high-level designs (HLDs), and technical roadmaps.

• Define application architecture, domain decomposition, and microservices-based solutions.

• Design scalable RESTful APIs and integration strategies.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Lead architecture discussions and provide technical guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Develop technical epics, user stories, and implementation plans for development teams.

• Conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs) to evaluate new technologies and architectural approaches.

• Ensure adherence to architecture standards, security best practices, scalability, and performance requirements.

• Promote reusable components, shared services, and best engineering practices.

• Provide architectural oversight during implementation and resolve technical challenges.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 6 8 years of experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or similar role.

• Strong experience designing enterprise applications using Microservices Architecture.

• Hands-on experience designing RESTful APIs and distributed systems.

• Extensive experience with AWS cloud services.

• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.

• Experience with Spring Framework and enterprise Java application development.

• Experience with container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift.

• Strong understanding of software architecture patterns and design principles.

• Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
