Role: Back End Developer
Location: Richfield, MN
Rate: $60-65/hr onW2.
Introduction
We are seeking a skilled Java Back End Developer to join our team in Richfield, MN. This role involves developing Java/Spring web applications, engaging in aggressive refactoring, and working comfortably with Unix/Linux command line environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Object Oriented Programming and Service Oriented Architecture design.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate - 8+ years of experience.
Kafka - 3-5 years of experience.
REST APIs - 5+ years of experience.
RDBMS - Aurora, PostgreSQL - 5-8 years of experience.
Microservice Design knowledge.
Prior work experience at retails industry.
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Experience with emergent design and paired programming.
Strong unit-testing skills (Junit/Spock in particular).
Comfortable with database (DB) and Kafka-related development, including design, implementation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Developing Java/Spring web applications.
Participating in the planning process: take high level design discussions and create user stories, then further break those stories into tasks.
Working on large-scale distributed systems and client-server architectures.
