Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Java Developer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will drive the adoption of AI-powered software development solutions by building automation, internal tooling, and developer enablement resources that enhance engineering productivity and accelerate the SDLC.

Rate Range: $55/Hour to $65/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Java Developer Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full-stack applications, APIs, and automation solutions that support business and customer needs.

• Build and enhance AI-powered developer tools, integrations, and engineering accelerators to improve software delivery efficiency and productivity.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, architects, security teams, and developers to deliver high-quality technology solutions.

• Create reusable frameworks, proof-of-concepts, and production-ready applications leveraging JavaScript, Python, AI platforms, and modern development practices.

• Drive SDLC acceleration initiatives by implementing automation, optimizing workflows, and promoting CI/CD, testing, and engineering best practices.

• Support developer enablement through onboarding sessions, technical workshops, documentation, and adoption of AI-assisted software development tools.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Minimum 10 years of IT experience, including at least 8 years of hands-on software development experience.

• Strong expertise in JavaScript, Python, and AI technologies, with experience developing automation tools, integrations, and AI-assisted development solutions.

• Proven experience with full-stack application development, SDLC best practices, CI/CD, developer enablement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration in a hybrid enterprise environment.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $65.00 per hour
