Job Description:

  • We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in Java 17 or 21 and modern development tools.
  • 8+ years of professional software development experience in Java
  • Proficient in Java 17 or 21, with solid knowledge of OOP and functional programming paradigms
  • Strong understanding of XML, JSON, and related parsing/serialization techniques
  • Comfortable working in IntelliJ IDEA or VS Code with AI code assist tools like GitHub Copilot
  • Solid experience with Git/Bitbucket for source control
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, or similar messaging middleware
  • Strong experience with relational databases (Oracle, DB2), including query optimization and stored procedures
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, using tools like Jira
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience writing clear technical documentation
  • Preferred Qualification
  • Knowledge of Payments systems or financial services domain
  • Familiarity with ISO 20022 payments messaging standards
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools, and testing frameworks
  • Understanding of event-driven architecture and microservices design
