Role Name: Cards Java Developer
Location: Hanover, PA
Duration: 12+ Months

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Design develop test and maintain applications supporting card payment processing systems
Develop solutions for card issuance authorization settlement dispute management and transaction lifecycle management
Collaborate with business analysts architects and stakeholders to gather and understand requirements
Integrate payment applications with external systems payment networks and banking platforms
Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
Optimize application performance reliability and scalability
Support implementation of security and compliance requirements related to payment systems

Preferred Qualifications

Soft Skills
Strong experience in Java J2EE Spring Boot Microservices
Experience with RESTful APIs and web services
Knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle SQL Server or PostgreSQL
Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka JMS or MQ
Familiarity with Git Maven Jenkins and CICD pipelines
Understanding of cloud platforms Azure AWS or GCP is preferred
Strong understanding of Cards Payments Domain
Experience with
Credit Cards
Debit Cards
Prepaid Cards
Card Authorization
Settlement Clearing
Chargebacks Disputes
Card Management Systems
Knowledge of ISO 8583 messaging standards
Understanding of Visa Client and other card network processes
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
Experience working in Banking or Financial Services organizations
Knowledge of AgileScrum methodologies
Exposure to payment gateways and digital payment solutions
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within crossfunctional teams
Strong ownership and accountability for deliverables
