Pay Range: $45-$49/Hour on W2/C2C (All inclusive)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with 8 10 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, Python, and Apache Kafka, with experience building scalable microservices, APIs, and event-driven applications. This role requires strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment.

Location: New Jersey (Local Candidates Only)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java and related technologies.
• Develop and support RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed applications.
• Build and maintain event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and optimize database performance.
• Develop automation scripts using Python and Unix Shell Scripting.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues related to applications, databases, and Kafka messaging.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization of Java applications and backend services.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices.
• Support application deployments, production releases, and ongoing maintenance.
• Work in Agile/Scrum teams to deliver features within sprint timelines.

Required Skills

• 8 10 years of experience in Java application development.
• Strong proficiency in Core Java and advanced Java concepts.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and REST APIs.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Python scripting for automation and data processing.
• Strong expertise in Unix/Linux environments and Shell Scripting.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, ELK, or Grafana.
• Understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8 10 years of professional software development experience.
