Summary:

  • Duration: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Create applications from detailed specifications using specified programming languages.
  • Develop, code, test, debug, and document application systems to meet the objectives of the company relative to identified system needs.
  • Implement activities impacting mid-level components of the functional area.
  • Participate in the review of requirements, design, code, and supporting documentation.
  • Design, develop, and test software as part of new product and maintenance development.
  • Help investigate issues and support production systems.
  • Mentor less experienced staff as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • Experience with Java, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, Angular.
  • Well-versed in modern software development methods and best practices.
  • Ability to initiate and participate in design/architecture creation and review.
  • Experience with source control systems like Subversion.
  • Ability to work well with various people and in a team setting.
  • Demonstrated experience with REST and creating RESTful services.
  • Ensure each system developed follows standard systems development policies.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficient in HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, Bootstrap, JQuery, JSON.
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented design and programming methodologies.
  • Experience with SVN version control applications and build processes.
  • Experience with Web Services and multi-tiered architectures.
  • Java (JDK 1.7/1.8), JSP, Servlets, Struts, J2EE (JMS, EJB), Spring, Hibernate.
  • Experience with WebLogic, Tomcat, WildFly (Nice to have).
  • Experience with Siteminder / LDAP integration (Nice to have).
  • Experience with Junit (Nice to have).
  • Experience with ANT, Maven.
  • Experience with XML and XSD Technologies (Nice to have).
  • Quality reviews of code developed by other development staff.
  • Understanding of and experience with full software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with Client ALM (Nice to have).
  • Understanding of application architecture.
