Core Requirements
· Experience Target: Minimum of 6-7+ years of professional enterprise experience in Java-based backend development.
· Reactive Paradigm Mastery: Strong, hands-on development experience operating within Vert.x or highly similar reactive programming frameworks.
· Location Restriction: Sourcing is limited strictly to local Phoenix, AZ profiles. Non-local profiles will not be considered. Candidates must be fully aligned with the 3+ days per week in-office schedule.

Key Responsibilities
· Backend Software Engineering: Design, develop, and optimize high-throughput backend systems using Java and reactive programming paradigms.
· Microservices & Event Architecture: Build and support scalable microservices and event-driven architectures engineered for asynchronous processing, reliability, and high-volume data streams.
· Messaging & Telemetry Integration: Implement and configure distributed messaging frameworks (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) to handle secure asynchronous application messaging.
· AI Tooling & Agent Adoption: Pioneer and adopt next-generation engineering acceleration workflows by embedding AI-assisted development tools and autonomous coding agents directly into daily sprint tasks.
· Container Orchestration & DevOps: Package, deploy, and manage distributed service workloads inside containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
· Agile Collaboration: Participate actively in all Agile/Scrum ceremonies, working alongside development leads, product managers, and QA tracks to maintain a consistent execution velocity.
