Job Title: Java Spring Boot Apigee Microservices Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, APIs, and Apigee. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and supporting scalable backend services and APIs in a microservices-based environment.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience developing REST APIs using Spring Boot and working with Apigee API Management. Experience with AWS cloud services and enterprise application integration is highly preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Java 8+ / Core Java

• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot

• Good experience in Microservices architecture

• Strong understanding of REST APIs and API development

• Hands-on experience with Apigee API Management

• Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs

• Good understanding of API security, authentication, authorization, and policies

• Experience with AWS cloud services

• Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalable applications

• Experience with Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate

• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases

• Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD practices

• Experience with unit testing using JUnit/Mockito

• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Configure and manage APIs through Apigee.

• Implement API security, authentication, authorization, rate limiting, and related API policies.

• Integrate backend services with internal and external applications.

• Deploy and support applications in AWS cloud environments.

• Analyze application issues and provide effective technical solutions.

• Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.

• Write unit and integration tests to ensure application quality.

• Collaborate with developers, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders.

• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and technical discussions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, or RDS.

• Experience with Kafka or other messaging systems.

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSL/TLS, and API security.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
