    Java FullStack Developer
    Location: McLean, VA or Plano, TX (Onsite) | Type: Contract

    We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join a product-focused engineering team delivering a modern payments platform. In this role, you will work alongside business stakeholders, architects, and engineers to design and build scalable, secure, and high-performing applications that support critical business operations.     The Role
    We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join a product-focused engineering team delivering a modern payments platform. In this role, you will work alongside business stakeholders, architects, and engineers to design and build scalable, secure, and high-performing applications that support critical business operations. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative payment solutions while working with modern technologies in an Agile environment.
    What You'll Do
    • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and design scalable payment platform solutions.
    • Develop secure, high-quality full stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and RESTful APIs.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application performance.
    • Build, test, and deploy software using modern engineering tools including Git, Gradle, Docker, Jenkins, and automated testing frameworks.
    • Support production issues, technical enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives within an Agile delivery environment.
    What We're Looking For
    • 7+ years of hands-on software development experience with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, REST APIs, relational databases, and secure application development.
    • Experience building enterprise applications using SQL Server, MySQL, Sybase, DB2, JUnit, Mockito, Git, Docker, Jenkins, and Agile development practices.
    • Knowledge of modern engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and emerging GenAI technologies such as GitHub Copilot, LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Agentic AI.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, with excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while managing changing priorities and delivering high-quality solutions.
    Bonus Points For
    • Experience within capital markets, financial services, or payment processing environments.
    • Experience working with IBM MQ integrations.
    • Previous experience supporting Freddie Mac or Client technology environments.
    • Experience with FitNesse or other automated testing frameworks.
    • Strong understanding of enterprise integrations, security, and high-volume transactional systems.
