Title:Java / GCP Engineer - Data Ingestion
Duration: 6-12 months with possible extension
Location: Phoenix, AZ( Need only local candidates )
Salary Range: $42- $45 an hour on W2/C2C
Job Description:
"Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java/Vert.x backend and data-ingestion services on GCP.
" Build and support data ingestion into Lumi from enterprise databases and upstream systems.
" Develop reactive, asynchronous microservices and REST APIs for distributed systems.
" Implement event-driven processing using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging technologies.
" Build resilient ingestion flows with validation, error handling, retries, monitoring, and recovery.
" Containerize and deploy services using Docker and Kubernetes.
" Own development through testing, code review, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support.
" Use AI-assisted development tools appropriately to improve engineering productivity and quality. " Collaborate with product, engineering, data, architecture, and platform teams in Agile delivery."
Skills Required:
"Prior Client experience is preferred, with hands-on experience ingesting data into Lumi from a database.
" 6+ years of strong Java backend development experience; strong Java + GCP skills.
" Strong hands-on experience with Vert.x and reactive/non-blocking programming.
" Solid understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture.
" Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging/event-streaming platforms.
" Experience with REST APIs, asynchronous processing, and scalable backend/data-ingestion services.
" Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
" Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
" Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar.
" Strong problem-solving, communication, Agile collaboration, and team-player skills.
" Ability to work from the Phoenix office at least 3 days per week"
