Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Java Integration Developer position! This is a 6-18 month contract and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY.
This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.
What You'll Be Doing:
Design and develop complex integration solutions using Java and Spring Boot to solve business challenges
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices that connect multiple enterprise applications and platforms
Lead technical implementation of Azure cloud services including Functions, Key Vault, and Managed Identities
Direct and mentor less experienced developers on complex projects and development best practices
Analyze and document technical specifications, system integrations, and interrelationships between applications
Implement OAuth 2.0 authentication and secure API communication patterns across integrated systems
Execute comprehensive unit testing, debugging, and code quality assurance activities
Collaborate with business units, operations teams, and technology staff throughout the development lifecycle
Monitor application performance using Azure monitoring tools and optimize for efficiency
Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to development standards and processes
What You'll Need to Have:
5+ years of systems analysis and application development experience with strong Java proficiency
Expert-level knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, and concurrency patterns in Java
Proven experience building RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and implementing build automation
Solid understanding of Azure cloud services including Functions, Key Vault, Managed Identities, and monitoring capabilities
Strong proficiency with HTTP client libraries, API authentication methods including OAuth 2.0, and error handling
Demonstrated experience with unit testing frameworks and test-driven development practices
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to work independently on complex technical challenges
Strong communication skills to present technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
